Borussia bolster attack with signing of German forward

Kleindienst arrives from 1. FC Heidenheim 1846

Borussia Mönchengladbach have announced the signing of forward Tim Kleindienst from 1. FC Heidenheim 1846. The 28-year-old German has signed a contract until 2025 and will join the Foals ahead of the 2023/24 season.

Kleindienst has been a key player for Heidenheim in recent seasons, scoring 51 goals in 136 appearances for the club. He also played a pivotal role in Heidenheim's promotion to the Bundesliga in 2021.

Borussia Mönchengladbach's sporting director, Roland Virkus, said: "Tim Kleindienst is a player who we have been following for a long time. He is a proven goalscorer with a strong physical presence. We are confident that he can make a significant contribution to our team."

Kleindienst said: "I am very excited to join Borussia Mönchengladbach. This is a great club with a passionate fan base. I am looking forward to working with the coach and my new teammates and helping the team achieve its goals."

Kleindienst is Borussia Mönchengladbach's second signing of the summer, following the arrival of goalkeeper Jonas Omlin from Montpellier.
